- 04 March Arrived in Perth in the morning from Hong-Kong
- 07 March Walked into Unicredit and asked about mortgages
- 13 March Got mortgage approval
- 14 March Ela rings agents in Kalamunda. Anneli from the Professionals thinks she has just the property for us, and can we come to look at it (Spring Rd) immediately. We look at it at 2pm, love it. Sit at Paris Brest cafe and think about it. Go back with Phil (Mark's brother), Gaye (Phil's wife), and Kim (Phil and Gaye's daughter) to see it at 6pm.
- 15 March Ring Anneli and say: haven't seen other properties, also worried about verticality of block: will it be too hard to build on. Anneli shows us other house-land combinations for similar prices --- these look ugly and have fewer features that we want. She also shows us vertical blocks that people have built on or are intending to build on. After a drive-by, we decide to put an offer in. We offer $620K, Anneli takes it to the owners, they return with $628K which we accept.
- 16 March Anneli comes to Harber Drive, and we sign the revised offer papers. We go to Nedlands and arrange mortgage with Unicredit.
- 20 March Structural inspection --- house passes with flying colours (mostly).
- 22 March White-ant (termite) inspection --- none found.
- 25 March Final inspection with current owners.
- 31 March Settlement day --- no, it's been delayed. Vendor's bank is not ready
- 3 April Settlement day --- get the key
- 4 April Moving in.
